AOS Signs Landmark Agreement for Land Record Computerization in Azad Kashmir

As part of the Computerization of Land Records Phase-3 in Azad Kashmir, AOS hassigned a significant agreement with the Information Technology Board to furtherstrengthen digital governance in the region. Under this agreement, land records of435 villages across seven tehsils will be digitized, enabling the issuance of landownership documents and transfer (naqal-o-intiqal) through a One WindowOperation system.This initiative aims to improve transparency, efficiency, and accessibility in landadministration, ensuring faster service delivery and reducing proceduralcomplexities for citizens. The project marks another milestone in AOS’s continuedcommitment to leveraging technology for public sector reform and institutionalstrengthening.The signing ceremony was attended by key officials, including Chairman ToyotaAamir Mehmood, Secretary Toyota Masood Bukhari, and Raja Adil, reflectingstrong inter-institutional collaboration.During the meeting, stakeholders also agreed to enhance youth participation inmodern technical education programs. Chairman Prime Minister Youth ProgramRana Masood Ahmed Khan emphasized that the youth of Azad Kashmir would beformally included in national youth initiatives, with a shared mission to empowerthem through skills development, self-reliance, and sustainable employment.Speaking on the occasion, Minister Toyota Javed Iqbal Bhardhanvi highlighted theimportance of technical skills and modern courses for Azad Kashmir’s youth,particularly given the region’s mountainous terrain and limited economicopportunities. He reaffirmed the government’s resolve to provide quality educationand vocational training so that young people can stand on their own feet.Through this partnership, AOS continues to play a pivotal role in digitaltransformation and socio-economic development, contributing to transparentgovernance and a more empowered future generation in Azad Kashmir.
